Sneaky little Leprechaun....

For the first time ever, a sneaky little Leprechaun visited our house!  I think the "little Leprechaun" was just as excited or more than the kids were....

To start:  Brynlee had to make a leprechaun trap for school.  It had to be HER creation.  HER imagination.  It's a good thing she got that from her dad.  So, she and daddy went to work.  Bry was so proud of his "rope" ladder.  A leprechaun even left little green footprints on it while she had it at school!  Too bad she didn't catch one.

But she set it out the night before St. Patty's Day to try one more time.  We had put "gold" pieces along with purple and green ones.  Apparently the leprechaun only wanted the gold ones because he scattered the green and purple coins on the way to the door.

He left a scavenger hunt with clues around the house.  The kids were freaking out!!  It was awesome!

**Disclaimer: Pretty sure the "Leprechaun" is pretty thankful for the Internet and those very creative people that post their ideas for things like this.  Hey, the Leprechaun is busy chasing rainbows all day!  He (or she) needs some help every once in a while!

"A sneaky leprechaun snuck into this house.  He scattered a rainbow, as quiet as a mouse.  Let's piece the rainbow back together, and follow his clues till we find a treasure."

*Clue #1: Rainbows always start with red, but what Color always follow?  Keep your eyes "peeled" for the color of a sweet fruit. (the fridge)
*Clue #2: You have found orange, but time to move on.  Now go to the pLace where the bright sun wakes you at dawn. (bedroom window)
*Clue #3: You now have yellow, but let's keep going.  Next lOok for the color of the lawn that may need mowing. (it was windy outside so I put the clue by the back door)
*Clue #4: With green in hand you are getting close to the treasure, you hope!  The color you must Search for now can be found in a place that holds bubbles and soap. (bathtub)
*Clue #5: Now that you have blue, it is time to look for your next clue.  Look in the place wherE you keep your feet. *Hint: rhymes with blue. (clue was on Rett's shoe)
*Clue #6: Put the rainbow back together.  What do all of the underlined letTers spell?  That is where you will find your treasure.

So that sneaky little leprechaun put a treat in their closets for them.  He (or she) didn't think ahead about what all of that sugar would do to 2 already crazy kids.....He (or she) may have to rethink that for next year...

Bry had to work at his 2nd job (boo), so it was just me and the kids.  I made green pancakes.  Tasty!

Ugh - the quality of the pics is horrible.  I would've moved them to a better spot, but if you know my kids - you take the picture when you can!

Sometimes being a mom can be so much stinkin' fun!!
