So, where did 6 and 7 months go?! They flew right out the window! Brody has changed SO much over the last couple of months. Here are some fun facts:
- At 6 months, he started crawling. Well, sortof. He looked like a seal. He would push up on his arms and then thrust himself onto his belly like a seal. It was so funny. But then by 7 months, he figured out how to get those knees up and he was off!
- He got his first 2 teeth on the bottom. And now has 3 more on the top. He gets a fever and runny nose every time a tooth is ready to pop through.
- He's starting to plump out, but no baby fat rolls yet. I was looking at pictures of him today of when we first brought him home. He has changed so much and doesn't look like that tiny, skinny little baby.
- He loves his food and gets mad if you don't shove it in his face fast enough.
- He's still not sleeping through the night! He still wakes up for one bottle and a diaper change, but goes right back to sleep.
- When he's tired, he wants his crib. This can be nice - except for during church - right about the time I go to Relief Society. Rarely can we get him to fall asleep calmly on our lap. But lay him in his crib and he rolls right over, snuggles with his blanket and he's out.
- Said his first word right before he turned 8 months. MAMA! Okay, it was more like mamamamamamamamamamamamama. But he's the first one to say it first!
- Now, all he goes around saying is dadadadadadadadadadada.
- He loves to scream. Not like a crying scream or an upset scream. Oh no, he just likes the sound of his voice. So he'll just sit there and start screaming.
- He thinks Brynlee and Garrett are hilarious. They will do the silliest thing and Brody will just bust out laughing.
- He is in to pretty much everything! Bathroom doors now have to be kept shut. He wants to pull on the iron cord while we're trying to iron. And he LOVES to pull the door stops off behind the doors. Garrett did this same thing. I think it's funny.
- And he still brings an immense amount of joy into our home.
