We love finding new places to go explore with the kids.
Russ and Keiko had been telling us about a hike they love to take called Dog Lake. So, we planned a day to go. Rod and Stef were able to come, too. The day was beautiful and the hike just the same. I was so proud of the kids. It turned out to be a little longer than we thought, and I started to worry about the kids getting too tired. But overall they did awesome! Towards the end, Brynlee and Russ were having pine cone fights. Russ started it all......I don't think he anticipated Brynlee's "competitiveness". She pretty much kicked his butt! She definitely gets that from her dad.
Brody could have spent all day throwing rocks in the water. He's the same way at home - someone fills the tub up for a bath and he runs in there with all sorts of things to throw in!
